Okay peeps this morning when I woke up. I had an overwhelming pull to transfer my efforts from writing My walk of destiny book to Aaron's stroke chronicles!

What's on Aaron's Mind
So peeps!
I'm talking to a less than two year old sister stroke survivor back East and she said "My life is terrible! I wish I didn't survive! "Then it came clear to me".
All the similar conversations I've had with countless stroke survivors from around the world all have a common thread!
The hopeless stroke survivors don't have a to their core gratefulness.
Gratefulness!
They all lost a heart filled with a deep gratitude for their lives here on planet earth!
I explained to her I can help her.
You see, I was given a powerful gift with my second chance.
I was given a gift to help stroke survivors just like her.
I have seen numerous times, hopeless stroke survivors filled with hope! Stroke survivors who hate their life, set free! And love their life again!
I have heard the most powerful words ever said to me.
"You saved my life"!
Is it just me, or is that off the hook powerful?
So I told the sister I was going to give some homework.
Pick 3 things you're gratefull for.
She immediately gave me 3!
See, gratefulness was right there the whole time!
She just needed to look away from the "blinding darkness" to be able to see gratefulness standing there ready to wrap her warm loving arms around her!
Just look away from the blinding darkness and you will see her also, waiting to breath the love of life in you once again stroke survivors.
Like she has for me!
Gratefulness is the key to go from stroke survivor to stroke warrior!

Okay Oprah my sister, you've taught me to be true to my own truth, so here it is.
I know you know who I am but for others who may read this I'll introduce myself.
My name is Aaron Avila and I created, just over 2 years ago, Second Chance Stroke Survivors now Worldwide. We are a Facebook Stroke Survivor Support Group.
My personal stroke survival story.
We have now become a global stroke survivors support network.
I have 40 Chapters and Division Groups in 5 Countries. Each having a local stroke survivor admin.
U.S. dominant. I estimate that I have members from 40 of the 52 states, guessing.
I write and maintain 8 or so Blogs and Admin 5+ Facebook Pages.
I built a website.
Way too much to describe now.
I became spiritual through a near death experience.
(Deep breath. Never did anything like this before).
I have found my true destiny.
(outside of being a stroke survivor)
I have been given a second chance at life on planet earth for one reason. To help the most amazing people on planet earth! Stroke survivors!
You see what I didn't know is when God gave me a second chance it came with a powerful gift.
A deep to my core love for stroke survivors around the world.
Okay now let's see how you respond Oprah?
These names are heavy on my heart as somehow part of this.

WHO IS AARON AVILA
Hi peeps!
As our global movement called Second Chance Stroke Survivors Worldwide continues to grow and gain momentum, you probably should know about who created the global movement.
Hi!
My name is Aaron Avila.
Born and raised 45 minutes north of San Francisco in Bay Area town called Santa Rosa.
Adopted at birth by Nonie and Vern Avila.
I have a 2 year older sister Andrea Avila who was also adopted at birth.
Born 9-1-63
My current age is 52
Age at time of stroke 47
Before my stroke I owned my own water storage tank and rainwater harvesting companies for 12 years.

Deficits: Can’t walk, Dysarthria, Balance issue, Social filter loss. To many to list!
Married 25+ years to the most awesome and amazing women on the planet! Rebecca Avila
Father to the most awesome son on the planet!
How I truly feel:
I was the type of guy that could do about anything I set my mind to.
Cutting down a 80’ tree….no problem!
Designing a water or rain harvesting system…..no problem!
Running a crew building a 100,000 gallon water storage tank…………..no problem!
Running and owning my own companies National Storage Tank and Rain Harvesting Solutions Inc. for over 12 years BS (Before Stroke).
Then the course of my life would change forever!
I was doing the day to day grind and I truly believe there was only one thing that would stop me dead in my tracks!
A stroke and "Near death experience"!
This event in my life forced me to fully re-evaluate all the things I, like most everyone, took for granted!
Life itself, walking, talking, feeling one with my body, family, friends but I truly believe that I’ve been given a SECOND CHANCE!
I would come to believe wholeheartedly that this was a type of gift!
Yes this stroke is the hardest thing I would ever face!!!
But I was alive! Given a gift that the majority of people on this planet don’t have!
The chance to live two lives in this one! A second chance to learn not to take it all for granted!
In beginning part of me was so angry, suicidal, and felt ripped off but what I have learned since my stroke makes it all worth it!
I should have a big sign on my forehead…….Under Major Reconstruction!
I’m far from learning it all!
I would have to say and know with all my heart that if it was not for my incredible family and friends and their support I’d be in a much different place!
Tears of thankfulness run down my face! Go stroke survivors!

Wow! What can I say but what an absolute awesome powerful journey I'm on! Very gratefull for my stroke! To the very core I am as a man! This Walk Of Destiny I'm on has taken the most powerful and awesome spiritual course! This stroke has the absolutely hardest life event a man can go through on planet earth!
For me! The spiritual enlightenment I've received has made my stroke 100% worth it!

MY ROLLING PRISON
So peeps my vision for this Blog is to be more personal and hopefully get to know me as a stroke survivor better.
Because I think most, elevate me somehow, see me as different than you but I'm not really.
On September 17th 2010 I survived what the doctors told my family I would not!
A deadly brain aneurysm and two weeks later a deadly stroke.
I have been wheelchair bound ever since!
Although exceedingly grateful for the mobility I had lost because of my stroke, The human body was not designed to sit for over 5 years!
My core is gone so my skeletal frame has began to collapse.
The pain from this has become chronic!
So my plan is to discipline myself to do a daily physical exercise program along with some wheelchair bound yoga Amanda my stroke survivor sister in Australia is putting together.
I'll keep you informed!
